AlterEgo Brand & Co. is more than a clothing brand—it’s a reflection of confidence, creativity, and self-expression.
Founded in 2016 in Decatur, Georgia, by creative designer and entrepreneur Marti Tipp Steele, the brand was built on the belief that style should be more than what you wear. It should reflect who you are.
Built through faith, determination, and a passion for creativity, AlterEgo Brand & Co. has grown from an idea into a platform that brings people together through fashion, community events, youth initiatives, entrepreneurship, and creative development.
We believe every person has different sides that make them who they are—the dreamer, the creator, the leader, the hustler, and the visionary. Confidence begins when you embrace every part of yourself and allow each one to contribute to your journey.
Today, AlterEgo Brand & Co. proudly operates from Marti’s hometown of Concord, North Carolina, continuing to inspire people to dream bigger, believe in themselves, and walk confidently in their purpose.
OUR STORY
AlterEgo Brand & Co. was inspired by Marti’s lifelong love of fashion and creativity.
At just eight years old, she began creating clothing out of paper for her younger sister’s baby dolls. What started as childhood imagination soon became a passion that continued to grow over the years.
Fashion was also a part of her family history. Both of her grandmothers sewed clothing when they were young, helping spark the creativity, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit that would later become the foundation of the brand.
As the vision grew, so did the purpose. Along the journey, AlterEgo Brand & Co. earned recognition for its impact and creativity, including being named Best Clothing Brand 2024 at the Hip Hop Culture Awards and receiving the Best Booth Design 2024 award at the Durag Festival.
AlterEgo Brand & Co. was never created to simply sell clothing. It was created to inspire confidence, encourage individuality, and remind people that they have the power to become whatever they choose to be.
